The Coulee Region Humane Society developed our Animal Control program in 1975 in response to area needs. We are proud of the continuing commitment to animal welfare shown by our dedicated, professional staff. The Animal Control program has successfully expanded to the current level of service described below.

All of our Humane Officers are tested and certified through
the State of Wisconsin. This allows them to investigate abuse and cruelty
complaints and enforce all local and state animal laws. (Left) Rich Schrader has worked as a Humane Officer since
being certified in the fall of 2000. Rich works primarily night and weekend
hours Rich is very dedicated and compassionate He enjoys running with his dog
and many other outdoor activities. (Center) Kelly Dvorak holds a Bachelors of Science in biology degree. She has worked as a vet technician, emergency vet technician and vet consultant throughout the past 12 years. She is a certified Humane Officer, Emergency Room Technician and Euthanasia by Injection Technician. Kelly has been employed by CRHS as a Humane Officer since the winter of 2007.

grow up? Someone who helps make life a little better for animals." So that is
exactly what Lynn Zee Dokken-Knox decided to do when she joined the Animal
Control Department at the Coulee Region Humane Society as a Humane Officer in
2008. Animals have always been a major passion in her life, and now life for
Lynn Zee has more passion.
