Bark in the Park is a great fundraising event for families and their dogs, focused on fun for furry friends and helping area homeless animals. This event filled with family fun for you and your dog.

2013 Is Not Your Average Bark!

We’re expanding with exciting new entertainment, including the Grand River Singers from the VH1 TV show “Off Pitch”, Chippewa Valley Wuff Pack Flyball Team / Mutts in Motion Freestyle demos, and Dances with Woofs.

New this Year!  Raise money to earn prizes.  Animals in our community need your help.  Talk to your friends, family and co-workers about the importance of helping homeless animals in our community,  gather pledges and earn a chance to win prizes.  The top two pledge gatherers get a chance in the $500 Cash Storm, sponsored by Altra Federal Credit Union. All dogs must be on a leash, less than 6 feet in length at all times. Dogs should be wearing both their rabies vaccination and current license tags. Female dogs in any state of heat will not be allowed to participate. Owners are responsible for the behavior of their animals. Dogs whose behavior is unruly or may prove harmful to other pets or people may be asked to leave.

Activities Besides the vendor and non-profit groups there are always fun things to do for you and your furry friend at Bark in the Park. Check out the agility course and see if your dog could be the next tube running champ. A qualified agility person is on-site to help you and Fido learn the moves.

Food and Beverages are offered for sale with all proceeds going to CRHS.  We'll have hot dogs, hamburgers, boca burgers, chips, Pepsi products and water.

The Doggie GamesThe Doggie Games are always a highlight of any Bark in the Park experience. Whether watching or participating, you'll enjoy the antics of the dogs and owners as they attempt various races and contests. It is amazing how close the four-legged friends can resemble their masters in the dog-owner look alike contest. You'll laugh with the players and their pups as they rush towards the finish line in the egg and spoon relay. Many games and contests will be played, all involving the dogs and their owners. Ribbons and points are given for first, second and third prize with the points leader receiving the Grand Prize award.

Caricatures of owners and petsCaricatures Do you have the face of a cartoon character? If not the Caricature Artist can draw his rendition of you or you and your pet. You can get it done in any stage of goofy you are looking for or maybe you want a subtler effect. See those long eyelashes and broad shoulders exaggerated as the artist brings out your best features. We are asking for a donation fee for the caricature drawings.

Arfy-Art Maybe your pooch is a Picasso? Let your pal paint his or her own picture at the Arfy-Art studio. Pups can use their tails, paws, noses or fur to create a colorful masterpiece. You can then take home this piece of fine art to proudly display. Won't Grandma and Grandpa be proud of your Muttley Monet?

Swimming Pools There are small swimming pools for your tuckered buddy to cool off in and many new canine friends to meet while splashing around.
