Education Programs

The Education Department offer a variety or programs and resources to the Coulee Region community. All of our visiting dogs are Certified Therapy Dogs and are very safe. They love their job of educating and snuggling with children and adults.

All Star Programs:

Getting to know you - Our most basic program, emphasis on meeting the therapy dogs

New Programs:

Our Role in Animal Control - This program will focus on the many "hats" we wear in an average day at the animal shelter, and the many kinds of animals with which we share our environment.

The Next Best Thing - Meet "Niki", a life-size black lab stuffed animal! This program is geared towards facilities and classrooms with allergy concerns, or regulations regarding live animals. Safety and kindness are the focus. "Niki" is the next best thing to a real therapy dog.

Crazy About Critters - This program will focus on a critter of your classroom's choice! You let us know what you are interested in, and we'll do our homework! From guinea pigs to golden retrievers, from lizards to labs, we'll do our best to provide interesting information in a creative way.
