The Penny Wars are Coming!

Helen with a turtle friend!Hello my fans!  Start searching your couch cushions for spare change because CRHS is going to host a “Penny War” during the entire month of May.  The competition will be between cats, dogs, and little buddies (hamsters, rabbits, birds, fish and so on). 

 Here are the rules:  all coins have a positive point value, a penny is valued at one point, a dime is 10 points and so on.  So you should all bring coins and put them in the cat jar (I am not biased at all).  You can also bring in paper money but that has a negative value, for example you can bring in a five dollar bill and put it in the dog jar—that would “sabotage” the dog team and take away 500 points.

 The winning species gets bragging rights!  We all know cats will win anyway.  The funds raised will go to help fund day to day animal care here at the shelter.  So I guess in the end all the animals win (cats are still the best though).
