Crafts for Critters
Crafts for Critters is a hands-on service learning program for children ages 6-11 years old who are interested in learning about and helping animals! Children younger than 6 are also welcome to attend with parental supervision. Class sizes are limited to 15 children. Admission is free.
Crafts for Critters takes place once a month (on a Friday) at 4 p.m. at the Coulee Region Humane Society on the following days.

Stories With Shelter Cats
Stories with Shelter Cats allows children grades 1-8 at any reading level the opportunity to practice their reading skills and soothe cats by reading to them. Reading session are 15 minutes long and take place in the Cat Get Acquainted Room at the Coulee Region Humane Society. Children can bring their own book to read to the cats or borrow one from our Education Department.
Children can only sign up for one 15 minute session at a time. Sessions are 12 - 12:15 p.m., 12:15 - 12:30 p.m., 12:30 - 12:45 p.m. and 12:45 - 1 p.m.
Stories with Shelter Cats takes place every other Thursday from noon to 1 p.m. on the following days.

Pawz Academy Mini Camps
The Coulee Region Humane Society will offer an animal education program called Pawz Academy Minicamp for children ages 8-13 this summer.
The program features weeklong activities that teach students about shelter life, animal rescue and the responsibilities of pet ownership, in addition to helping homeless animals and wildlife in our community through exciting service-learning projects. Class sizes are limited to 15 children.
Pawz Academy Mini Camps take place from 1-4 p.m.
June 19 - 23 at the Coulee Region Humane Society, located at 911 Critter Court in Onalaska. Children can be registered for all five classes throughout the week for $110 or select days for $25 each.
The theme this year is Animal Advocates. Children will learn how they can use their voices and actions to support and care for our furry and not so furry friends who do not have a voice.
