  • Experience with and how well do they interact with children: I have never known him to interact with children. He may do well with older children that can respect his boundaries.

  • Experience with and how well do they interact with cats: Asriel absolutely cannot be around other cats. This is, unfortunately, the reason we are looking to rehome. Despite several attempts to distract him and perform proper introductions, Asriel gets intensely fixated on other cats and will attack them with little warning (no hissing, growling, ears back, etc) in a very quick moment. He will attempt to attack underneath a door if he senses the other cats are nearby.

  • Experience and how well do they interact with dogs: Asriel does okay with dogs, as he does well around my moderate energy beagle. He did however have an instance of redirected aggression when he was fixated on my cats and tried to attack my dog. Otherwise, he does remarkably well around them and will even play and rub on them.

  • Things need to work on: He meows constantly when not given any attention - we have been working with him to not do this as much and he shows improvement! He just needs time. Otherwise, he is a wonderful and sweet cat.

  • Favorite activities: Playing with puffballs/springs and being pet by his human.

  • Favorite treats and/or toys: Puffballs, springs, and kicker toys. He loves any and all crunchy treats, not a fan of churu.

  • Unique personality traits: He is just incredibly silly! He will plop down and demand pets on his chest and belly.

  • Ideal home: An ideal home would be someone who can keep him inside and only let him out supervised (cat stroller, harness etc) and someone who is willing to let him be their only pet. He may do well around smaller, less energetic dogs who won’t invade his personal space, but he ideally should not share a home with other cats.
