Coulee Region Humane Society - 2025 Annual report

Dear Supporters,

As 2025 came to a close, one thing became undeniably clear: our shelter does not stand alone. Our community is at the heart of everything we do. Every rescue, every recovery, every happy ending is made possible because of the people who show up, again and again, when animals need them most.

As we enter 2026, that support is needed now more than ever. In animal welfare, there is no way to predict what tomorrow will bring. We never know how many animals will arrive at our doors, how full our kennels will be, or how stretched our resources may become. What we do know is that when those moments come, our community answers the call.

From the Tika Fund, which helps cover adoption fees for senior cats, to food donations that carried us through times when we were far beyond capacity with kittens, or a shelter volunteer who brings us a pot of chili on a cold day, even the smallest acts of kindness make an immediate and meaningful difference. These moments of generosity directly impact animals who rely on us for safety, healing, and hope.

While the community often celebrates our success stories, and we love sharing them, there is a great deal of heartbreak, rehabilitation, and resilience behind each one. Shelter life can be stressful, and our staff pours endless time, compassion, and expertise into ensuring every animal receives the highest level of care. Their dedication is unwavering, but they cannot do it alone.

That’s where our community becomes our lifeline. Support in the form of corporate sponsorships, kennel sponsorships, donations, and advocacy doesn’t just help—it sustains us. It allows us to keep our doors open, our standards high, and our mission moving forward, no matter what challenges lie ahead.

Together, we are able to meet the unknown, care for the vulnerable, and continue giving animals the second chances they deserve.

On behalf of the animals, thank you!

Thank you!
