  • Experience with and how well do they interact with children: Kitty came from a home where we believe that he was abused by 2 small children thus we do not know how his interaction will be with children. Kitty who was an indoor cat was starved for about 1.5 weeks until I noticed him. He was then thrown out of his abusive home and left to fend for himself in the middle of the woods. I rescued him from his horror's in life. Kitty is very intelligent and I believe if he was treated correctly by children he would be good with them and maybe even try to play with their toys. Kitty needs time and love.

  • Experience with and how well do they interact with cats: We don't how he would interact with other cats, but I feel he needs a playmate and would thrive in a multi cat home.

  • Experience and how well do they interact with dogs: We had a 30 lb Australian Shepard that went to heaven in the past week and Kitty interacted with him great. Kitty did not have any problem with him and tried to play with him.

  • Things need to work on: He is coming from a very busy, tramatic situation and is going to need patience and grace when setteling in. It will take Kitty longer than a week or two to feel safe. Kitty wants to be loved and pet, however I think that the kids that he was living with might have grabbed and tormented him and when you pet him, he purrs and loves it, then all of a sudden he will try and nip at you. I think this is from his abuse by the two children and with time this behavior will change. I rescued him about three weeks ago and can see a signifigant change in his nipping behaviors. He thrives with a quite steady voice and and tries hard to please. He is extremly intelligent.

  • Favorite activities: Hiding and running through his tunnel. Sitting in the window on his cat tree and watching the birdies outside. Watching me in the kitchen while I am cooking.

  • Favorite treats and/or toys: His favorite toy is his fishing pole toy with a birdie on the end. And his favorite treats are small cat treats, I ask him if he wants snacks and he goes to his cat tree to get his snacks as he is well trained and intelligent and knows that this is the only place that he gets his treats at.

  • Unique personality traits: He his a true scady cat. If he sees something or hears a noise that he doesn't know he will hunch his back and run sideways and backwards. He does not get agressive or hiss or bite when he does this. It is funny to watch this scardy cat boy. He loves his person and will follow you everywhere, he will become your shadow.

  • Ideal home: Kitty needs a non-agressive soothing, talking home without yelling. And a home that is willing to accept that it may take months for him to settle in, once he finds comfort he will be your shadow, your loving buddy. He is looking for his solemate, be it a human, another cat or a dog.
