  • Energy level/ daily exercise needs: Low (minimum15-30 minutes) – leash walk or time spent in yard

  • Experience with and how well do they interact with children: Because Sammy is a small dog, 7 lbs. she does not have much experience with small children. She would do best in a quiet household.

  • Experience with and how well do they interact with cats: Sammy does well with other dogs but has not been around cats so that is unknown.

  • Experience and how well do they interact with dogs: She plays and interacts well with small dogs. Because of her small size, she would do best with small breed dogs.

  • Things need to work on: She barks when someone new comes into the home but warms up in her own time. She is learning how to walk-on a leash. Looking forward to the warmer weather so we can work on this more.

  • Favorite activities: She is a quiet girl. She does have a few toys that are her favorite and always up for a game of 'keep away' with another dog.

  • Favorite treats and/or toys: Treats are Charlie Bears or cod skins. Squeaky toys always get her attention.

  • Unique personality traits: She likes to be heard. Thinks it is her job to let you know when someone new is in the house or hears an unfamiliar sound. When she gets excited she will spin in a circle. Also will let you know when she needs to 'take care of business'y spinning in a circle.

  • Ideal home:  At 9 years old a quiet, low activity, adult home would be the best for her. If there are children in the home, because of her small size, older children would be best. Having another small dog to keep her company would be much appreciated.
