Experience with and how well do they interact with cats: These pigs are often around cats and are a little skittish with fast movements, but otherwise are okay with cats. .
Experience and how well do they interact with dogs: These pigs have been around a medium sized dog and are scared by loud barking and fast movements.
Things need to work on: Allowing the owner to pick them up. They are sometimes okay if you move towards them really slow, but there is room for improvement.
Favorite activities: Being outside, eating, sleeping, popcorning (specifically Bert).
Favorite treats and/or toys: Beets, apples, radishes, bell peppers, cilantro, Oxbow adult guinea pig good, oxbow treats, treat mix with dried peas & corn, enrichment treat balls, toilet paper tubes, wood sticks.
Unique personality traits: Rus has always been skittish around people and fast moving animals. Bert is very fat, popcorns when he gets food / gets his cage cleaned, and often has built up oil/dirt on his butt because of over-active glands.
Ideal home:Bert and Rus must be homed together because although they tussle every once in a while, they are bonded. These pigs are a little skittish, so loud noises do affect them, though they are used to some nose. They are good around cats (my cats are not interested in hunting them) and dogs that do not move too fast/bark a lot. Because these animals are scared of loud noises and fast movements, they may not be the most comfortable around children. Though, they would be good with patient children because they have never bitten anyone.
They come with a 5 by 3 ft. cage, bedding, wood structures, some food, treats, and toys. $50 rehoming fee.
